My New body 2

Jack and Nsika had been talking for a while and she had gotten to used to speaking to him every day. He called her at a particular time every day that she had told him was the best time for her to speak. Nsika had her own business; a factory that made uniforms for various organizations. She was at the office three hours each day but she had to catch up after being away for a long time and so she found herself spending more time which wasn't that bad because it meant more phone time with Jack.

Out of curiosity while speaking to Jack, Nsika asked him to tell her what drew him to her and he told her it was her face at first but when she stood up to board her flight, he couldn't stop staring at her body. That got her thinking; she was just a regular lady living a simple life without any distractions until she reworked her body.

At the mall that same week, a guy was all over her asking to get her phone number. An old customer that she had done business with for a long time saw her and for the first time paid her compliments while licking his lips. The only attention she liked was from Jack and she was not sure why.

It was a busy first two weeks for Nsika, she had a Church thanksgiving to plan and a small reception at home. She was grateful to God for surviving the surgeries especially after her doctor told her that it could have been fatal. She mentioned the events to Jack and casually invited him which they laughed off but to her astonishment, Jack showed up in Church. He had told her that the last time he was in any church, he was sixteen years old, but there he was seated comfortably and even joined the procession during thanksgiving.

Jack joined them for pictures and also ended up at Nsika's home. He stayed for a while and seemed to have a really nice time. Nsika became worried when she got jealous because Jack was talking and laughing with her friend who she asked to make sure that Jack wasn't bored. She couldn't deny it anymore, for the first time in her fifteen years of marriage, Nsika was falling for another guy.

She definitely changed her wardrobe since she went some inches down in the stomach area and got bigger in the burst area. All her new clothes accentuated her new body and she undeniably looked good. Akan took her to more places and it was obvious that he loved to show her off more. The way he also attacked her new boobies, Nsika was sure that she would need follow-up surgery in a short time. Jack suddenly whispered to Nsika while she talked with some guest that he was ready to leave, she excused herself and walked Jack to his car where his driver was waiting.

He handed her an envelope that had a card in it, she smiled and thanked him and as she walked back, she thought of the last time she received a card from Akan and it was on her thirtieth birthday, sixteen years ago. She couldn't wait to read the card and after Akan fell asleep, exhausted from the day's activities and "duly fed" that night, Nsika went to sit in the bathroom to read her card. As soon as she opened the card, dollar notes dropped and scattered around the bathroom and Nsika almost passed out in fear of being caught. She was visibly shaking as she tried to pack all the money as quickly as she could. She knew that the envelope was a bit heavy but never imagined that there would be money in it. No other man had ever given her money but her husband which wasn't even often because she made enough money from her business. Akan bought things for her and only gifted her money occasionally.

Then she read the card, the front had a picture of a sad puppy with an inscription, "This poor puppy", and inside read, "is miserable without you". Nsika was too scared to count the money but she knew that it was a lot. She tossed and turned all through the night mainly because she could not get Jack and the words of the card off her mind, and to worsen the situation, she longed for him. The next morning, she went to the church and after Mass, she spoke to her priest about what was going on with her.

Her priest prayed with her for strength to overcome the temptation, she cried on her way home, her wedding vows meant a lot to her and she was struggling to keep them. She hated Akan for creating the situation she found herself in. She did not go to work on that day and also did not take Jack's numerous calls. She needed to clear her head, those two weeks were both fast and long and she wasn't sure how to handle her situation.

Jack was leaving in two days and she knew that she had to see him or at least speak to him, as soon as she settled in her office the next day, she called him but Jack did not pick up, she was heartbroken. Shortly after, her phone began to ring and it was Jack, his voice sounded like music to her ears but when she opened her mouth to speak, she begged him to set her free. She told him that it was taboo in her tradition for a married woman to be with another man.

Jack asked her if she still loved her husband and Nsika could not answer that question. He also did not want to share her with any man. Jack asked her to have dinner with him in his flat the next day. He stayed in his company's service apartment in Eko Atlantic, it was the safest place to meet to protect her. She arrived at Jack's place as nervous as a teenage girl on her first date. Jack cooked for her and looked more attractive in a pair of casual shorts and a t-shirt. She enjoyed the food and relaxed a bit after she had taken a glass of wine.

She brought out the money he had given her from her purse and asked him to take it but Jack did not take the money back. It was fifteen thousand dollars and he told her that his Nigerian friend told him that most invitations were honored with monetary gifts. She hated to leave him but had to go home so she would not raise suspicions. She told him that she had a meeting with a customer.

At the door, Jack held her and kissed her, and she did not fight it. she kissed him back and enjoyed it. That night, she did everything possible to avoid Akan, she hated his touch and also felt like she desecrated their marriage, she felt guilty but knew that she would kiss Jack again and again. Before Jack left, he offered her a ticket to visit him in New York, he asked her to think about their situation, he wouldn't push it till he was sure that she wanted him as much as he did her. Jack had been divorced for six years and had been in one relationship since then which ended some months before he met Nsika. The lady was in jail for fraud and almost implicated him but he was exonerated after all his accounts were investigated and the police also recovered cheques with his forged signature in his girlfriend's apartment. She was planning to dupe him as well.

Two months after Jack left, Nsika was on her way to New York for a follow-up with her doctor even though her appointment was further in the year. Your guess is as good as mine, but do you blame her?

  1. This Nsika woman is ungrateful. Her husband could have started dating women with the body he wanted, but he didn't. He decided to bring his wife up to the standard he desired. Then the ungrateful decides to cheat, blaming her husband for making her have a banging body. Infact, she should go with Jack so her husband can find a better person that will appreciate him..

  4. Hmmmm. It so easy to push blame until we are faced with it. Humans are insatiable by nature. Akan wanted more Nsika went for it, now Nsika wants more from Akan's cravings. I can't blame either parties. Life is deep. Like i alwys says she needs God, prayers and alot of strength to pull through this.

  5. Nnem, I enjoyed your articulated notes. I think she's firm but not spiritual to resist the obvious signals.

  6. Better for Akan to have dated other slay queens than to attempt remolding God's work. Whatever flows from his idiosyncrasy, he should accept.

  7. A classic case of Nature vs man made religion. What is natural(attraction) wins any day over prayers against the attraction !!!
