Mind your Business

I got a good number of private messages, emails and calls asking if the last two stories really happened, of course they happened. I have lived long enough to know that the truth sometimes can be stranger than fiction and things are not always what they seem.

Come to think of it, what have most of us not heard of or seen? A lot of strange things happen every day and more will still happen and like it was recorded in the bible, when we see these things then we know that the end of time is near.

However, to me, a man marrying a woman with a whore’s character does not come close to the list of strange things, it is totally normal; one man’s meat is another man’s poison.

I have met men who will give anything to meet and marry a virgin, A particular man I knew kept investigating any lady that he met to be sure that none of his friends ever had anything to do with that particular lady, his worst nightmare was ending up with someone who had been with any of his friends; that led him to marrying a virgin like he made us to believe.

Some other men I know do not want to have anything to do with a virgin, when I asked further, they said that they couldn’t deal with the whole mess (is it really a mess? I don't remember), they do not want all the petty talks like “take it easy” “it is paining me” plus “o na afu m uso” (it is paining and sweeting me at the same time). They also do not want to deal with the mood swings afterwards and the fake promises that follow; “baby we are in this together” “if anything happens, please tell uncle Chux” and the worst, having to deal with the tears of guilt that fall freely with some young ladies after they have eaten the forbidden fruit.

There are also men who want the real deal; they do not want to be anyone’s teacher rather they want to be taught.lol. They want a lady, who has been there, seen and done it all; no time for new comers or pretenders. These are the men who marry the “bad girls” and unashamedly so. The funny thing is that some times such couples could be happier than the “normal couples”.

My boys are growing and sometimes when I watch them or see their bulges first thing in the morning I start to pray for them that the fact that the bulge is in front does not mean that it should come first in their lives.

These days when it is my turn to pray at our family intercessory prayers, I whole heartedly pray against sexual immorality; “Father Lord may these boys be virgins till they get married in Jesus Name” woe betide the person who does not respond with an “Amen” Someone once told me that men are never virgins, whatever, “God please keep them pure till they get married in Jesus Name” Amen!

I have also asked God to please take any of them to work in his vineyard; however, none of them shows interest in that area, I am still praying about it though.

Back to the issue on hand, the Ron in the story sent a message to say that it feels good to share one’s story and to read other people’s criticisms, he says it makes for a good evaluation of one’s life which results in thanksgiving to God for the opportunity to make amends and live a better life.

We human beings judge people a lot, there is always something negative to say about someone, I stopped judging people a long time, it just doesn’t make sense, it is like the more you judge the more God blesses those people.

That wealthy man belongs to a cult or a con man and  every successful woman has a a secret boyfriend somewhere, while I acknowledge that a lot of under-G goes on, but it will be unfair to say that all women are the same,. There are women (like me *wink*) who work really hard to earn an honest living. It is usually those who struggle with little to show for it that make it their business to run other people down.

While you go gossiping, judging and condemning people, the same people are strategising and getting better at what they do and the God that you are fighting for keeps on blessing them. Does it not mean anything to you?

My advice to those who have made it their cups of tea to pry into other people’s affairs is to just let go and let God. You were not there when God drowned Pharaoh and his army and so He does not need your help to fight His enemies.

The race for heaven is real, and its totally "OYO" (On Your Own), notwithstanding, you must evangelise as much as you can but please just know when to mind your business!
