Who really cares?

“How beautiful would it be if we could just see souls instead of bodies? To see love and compassion instead of curves.”
― Karen Quan

The beautiful quote above means little or nothing to a lot of women anymore because it appears that all they want the world to see are their bodies.

Most of us are getting tired of seeing the naked bodies of women out there all the time. These women are the same people who go about fighting for the right to be treated with respect. How can we be treated with respect if we keep disrespecting ourselves?

I really hope that the feminists will not go the route of “it is my body and I can do whatever I want to do with it”. It is your body but please do whatever you want to do with it within the confines of your own space, you do not have to invade my personal space on social media with your naked body.

It has become trendy for ladies especially some of our celebrities or celebrities’ wannabes to go naked for the flimsiest reason. “Happy birthday to me” and boom! A naked picture is out there. I have been through very tough times and the best way to celebrate the success? A naked picture. I am a survivor – naked picture, celebrating new business – naked picture, new book – naked picture, celebrating nothing at all – naked pictures…. O gini? Kilode?

The attempt to cover the breasts with the fake long hair is rubbish, you are already naked so let us see the whole thing.

Then you use one leg or a pillow or something else to cover your bare vjayjay, why na? just leave it open for full view and add “viewers’ discretion advised”.

I am yet to understand what point these ladies who put their naked pictures out there are trying to prove or the message that they want to pass or the lesson they want to teach. It is all balderdash to me.

Who really cares about your naked body? The guys maybe, but once they get that which you have shown them, their names will become Ben Johnson and Usain Bolt.

A lot of us have issues that we are dealing with privately and so I am not writing this from a Saint’s point of view, all I am saying is that exposing your body shows that you do not care about making your life better.

If you pose nude just to tell the story of the hardship that you went through then I am sorry to say that you learnt nothing rather your past experience damaged you.

Recently an OAP joined the band wagon of nudists and honestly that so far is the most daring naked butt picture I have ever seen, “some ladies do have em”. This butt larger than mine shone brightly in the pictures while the butt owner stared into the camera like there were some loose nuts somewhere.

This post is not to shame any woman but to ask my fellow women to cover up just little more, I hardly see men who bare it all just to prove a point or pass across a message.

When we bare it all we only come across to men as being sex objects, why else does a woman expose her body if not to say “see me, I am available for sex”.

We all know how shallow most men can be when it comes to the opposite sex, once a lady posts her naked pictures, some men will immediately start drooling over them and some will go to any length to get the contact of the woman whose body appeals to him just for one reason, ‘dig her soil’ nothing more nothing less. It is purely business, money changes hands then life goes on.

My birthday is coming up soon, maybe I should also take some pictures naked, my body laced with oil to ensure that I appear smooth, silky and screaming “here am I, take me to paradise” Mscheeew!

  3. Very unfortunate and embarrassing. Our society is turning into something else.

May God help us the people or this age and time. The spirit of it does not matter after all everybody is doing it has taken over many of our people.

Imitating the people ofvtge western world and forgetting that we as Africans and Nigerins in particular, we have good culture and tradition.

Let rise up as a people and condemn this public disgrace and show of shame and make our world better for all of us.

  4. Well written and well said my dear. I
must add; going through Uche ogbodo's profile, you will bear with me that she had it tough in life but, her worst mistake was to allow Low self esteem to disvalue her mindset. I guess she prayed for a nice hubby to live with but, till this moment she is still a single mother; who single mum eppp? All I can see here is that, she lacked something positive in her lifestyle and that is positive Attitude. If she is really positive, she would not have been a flagrant shameful nuddist! I wonder what our young ones celebrate in all these shameful ladies posing as Celebrities with bare bodies? Celebrity my ass....
Anyway, your last line caught me smiling, your birthday is coming soon, maybe you take a nude picture and post.... Lol...
Keep the good work going ...
    Remain blessed..

  5. Our body is the temple of the holy spirit. We should respect our body. It is not for public scrutiny. Well done, Amy. Happy birthday in advance
