Sugar daughter

My life was meaningless until I met you, I didn’t know I still had any feelings in me; my penis had been down and out that I felt castrated. For years, all I used it for was to urinate – at least it’s fulfilling its primary obligation (my thought). Oh! Your laughter keeps ringing in my ears, and I always look forward to hearing your soothing voice. Now I know the true meaning of love. If only I can have you sleep next to me every night, I’d be the happiest man on earth.

Whenever I think of you, my whole body comes alive in agreement that you are the one, I get a nudge from my friend below the waist anytime I see your incoming call, I am so happy I found you and I never want this to end. I love you with everything in me, my heart, my soul, my body and all my might. Even if you were stripped of every good thing, your beauty, education, health and all, I would still love you. You are my life and my world.

Hmm, you would think that these were the lines of a young school boy who found love for the first time. Far from it, the writer is over sixty-five. And these words were for his twenty something year old sugar daughter. True love indeed knows no barrier, but then is this true love?

This twenty something year old Louisa (real name withheld) is deeply involved with Cyril (real name withheld). She is certain that she is in love, I asked her why and she had all sorts of reasons. I’ll summarise as much as possible. Louisa likes the fact that Cyril is a lot older than her, although he doesn’t look it; he takes really good care of himself. He is some sort of a father figure to her, calls her to order when she’s going off line. Cyril taught her how to drive and helped her buy her first car. He expresses his love for her always and writes her poems.  He makes her serious on her job, she consults him when she has deliverables in the office because he is so smart and she loves that about him as well.

Cyril was her first lover and handles her with care each time. He teaches her to be respectful and provides the guidance and training she did not get from home; she was raised by her father’s sister. Her parents separated when Louisa was very young. He is the first person that comes to her mind when she has any news, good or bad. He has never been unavailable for her. He treats her with so much respect, does her shopping sometimes and even helps her save her money. (at this point I said huh?!)

She went on, “Yes, I send my salary to him; he gives me what to spend and saves the rest for me”. (oh dear!) “He makes sure I live a responsible life and stay away from trouble. I don’t go clubbing and I don’t hang out with my age mates, they are childish and there is nothing to discuss with them”.

The conversation continued.

Me: What does Cyril do?

Louisa: He was a government contractor in his state but the last administration still owes him money and the present administration is yet to pay.

Me: So what does he do now?

Louisa: He’s chasing the government to pay his money.

Me: So that is his business now? To chase the government? Interesting, and you say he saves your money for you?

Louisa: Yes

Me: Okay. But do you know that this guy could be using your money?

Louisa: Yes, I know. He told me, he needs to still sort out school fees for his two last children so he has borrowed some of the money he’s keeping for me. He is a bit down now.

Me: So he is still married?!!! (almost screaming) I thought he was a widower.

Louisa: (still very calm) Yes he is still married but doesn’t love his wife, he has never loved her. It was an “arrangee” their parents forced them to marry.

Me: How do you know?  

Louisa: He told me

Me: And you believe him?

Louisa: Yes.

My one sentence advice; No he doesn’t love you Louisa, if he did, he would let find someone your own age and he wouldn’t be spending your money.

Whaat!! This man is a lucky b”****d.  He is sleeping with a young fresh girl and spending her money as well. Why won’t he write her a love letter?

I will follow up on this and make sure that this fake love affair comes to an end. I am so upset. Silly old man, I’m sure he is even bald headed. (don’t mean to disrespect any responsible bald headed man, including my own sweetie.lol)  How can this man just be exploiting a girl young enough to be his daughter? Sometimes book smart is not enough, street smartness must be added to it. This young lady is obviously smart and intelligent, doing very well on her job but lacks the emotional intelligence needed in this situation.  If she was my younger sister, I would also be beating some sense into her. As hard as it is for me to say, our young men could pick a few dating tips from loverman Cyril.
