A Message of Hope

This is a season of hope and so I bring you this story about my friend Nkechi.

In her words.......

Six years ago I developed a sharp pain in my back that affected my mobility, first they said it was a spinal issue, did a procedure that didn't quite work. Over the years the medical reports have tagged it a known neurological disorder with no clear cut remedy, except continuous therapy.

It's been challenging dealing with the whole process, from working as a professional living a very active lifestyle to being totally bedridden initially,

I'm getting better but it's a process   First there was the denial, then frustration with the whole  thing. However as I sought God, this time not necessarily for an outward healing but an inner one, I found a peaceful acceptance.

Not an acceptance in terms of defeat, but just an understanding of God's love and that whatever the outcome, He will work it out for my good. And that this doesn't change God's character. God is love and I know He will work it out.

And so I've really chosen not to do music just for the sake of it, I love my privacy sincerely. But I choose to dare to praise  Him, even if I'm believing Him for things that are yet to be manifested.

A miracle would be nice no doubt and when it's time to manifests I'd blow the trumpets all over , but I don't need a miracle to worship Him, He's credits and character already make Him worthy...And if He did it before, He can most definitely do it again. So that's my definition of  a "peaceful-acceptance"

Me: After reading from Nkechi I had a good thinking about my life and life generally. She was my mate in school and one of the brightest from a family of Academic Professionals.

How does one go from being strong, healthy, active, going to work daily and living a normal life to being confined to a wheel chair?

We complain all the time and I ask myself what could be worse?

Before I realised that Nkechi was on a wheel nothing about her said so. She lives abroad, participates actively on our class group platform and donates generously to every cause that arises in the group.

Her condition has cost her a lot yet she gives without excuses. Nkechi is an amazing soul and this condition could not take her smile away.

She recently succumbed to blessing humanity with her voice and her album has just been released. Please do well to buy her song, share this post and encourage many people to buy.

Someone definitely needs some hope this season.

In her closing statement Nkechi says she hopes her story will encourage someone somehow.
